I have been interested in Manga since I was a child. This determined my lifetime interest in drawing and culture. I studied drawing in high school in Yambol (hometown of Prof. Ivan Gazdov) from 1993 to 1998. After that I enrolled at the University of Veliko Turnovo specializing in Illustration under the guidance of Prof. Rumen Skorchev. I graduated in 2002.

From my first years at the University I have been involved professionally with Manga.
1999 – adapted illustrations to the children’s books THE WILD SWANS and ANDERSEN TALES
2000 – a comics debut in the monthly lifestyle magazine EGOIST
2001 – comics adaptation of the fantasy story by M. JOHN HARRISON “VIRICONIUM” published in SF magazine FANTASY FACTOR
2002 – character designs in the monthly lifestyle magazine AZ
2003 – work in the film company NEW IMAGE as storyboard artist in a number of Hollywood productions
2003 – The start of my work in the restored and one of its kind (for the present moment in Bulgaria) magazine DAGA (“Rainbow”). This magazine is a legend that seized its existence after the political changes taking place in Bulgaria in 1989. Now a group of young enthusiasts, among which am I, are trying to restore the fame that comics culture had once. I am taking part with two comics works: BION and BONZAI, which have been put first and second, respectively, in the reader’s top chart for favorite comics.
2004 17. 07 - I together with certain people interested in Manga and in similar fields, founded the first Manga exhibition in Bulgaria, which was received very well by the media, critics and audience. See Photos and Video from the event
2005 24. 02 - My works BION, BONZAI, SHAMAN got awarded in the Manga Devision - “Recommended from the Jury” section at the 8th JAPAN MEDIA ARTS FESTIVAL. My works were selected amongst over 1498 works from 43 countries. I am the only foreigner awarded in this category. For me this is a great success – recognition in the the manga homeland.
2005 – New mutual project of mine and the author of SHAMAN – illustration and character design on the gaming book NIGHTSILK. See More...
2005 – “Bonzai" won the Open Children’s Manga/ Storyboard prize at the International Manga & Anime Festival (IMAF) - IMAF Winners 2005
